Changes to CELPIP Language Test
As of April 1, 2014, the CELPIP-G test will no longer be used as a test to prove English language proficiency. It will be replaced by the CELPIP-General test. From April 1, 2014 onwards, applicants wishing to submit CELPIP results must submit results from a CELPIP-General test.
The CELPIP test is one of two English language tests (the other being IELTS) that are accepted as proof of English language proficiency for immigration purposes. The CELPIP exam is only administered within Canada.The scoring system for the CELPIP-General differs somewhat from the previous test. For individuals who take the test on or after April 1, 2014, the following scoring system applies:
